When I accepted Fr. Greer’s invitation to serve as a volunteer assistant to him during this Lent, I committed to him that I would not solicit from the parish any help for my disease-fighting work in the Caribbean. But both he, and you parishioners figured out what is dear to me among my works for the Kingdom, and so kindly over-ruled me with the wonderful offering of more than $550 collected following the final evening of the Parish Mission early in March! It seems so long ago, already, given all that has happened. But there is now a strong memory and a deep appreciation for your support in the hearts of my team and our patients with elephantiasis and leprosy. Thank you so much, and thanksgiving prayers for Assumption Parish and its pastor!
