Rooted in ancient Christian tradition, the month of November is a traditional time for visiting graves of loved ones, praying for the souls in purgatory and offering masses for the eternal repose of all the faithful departed. The All Souls Novena begins on November 2nd. The special envelopes for the novena can be obtained in the entrance of the church and are available throughout the month of October.
Simply list the names of your loved ones on the envelope, put your offering inside and place them in the offertory basket. The envelopes will remain in a glass box on the altar to offer the mass for them during nine consecutive days.
