ABCD
Today’s readings challenge us to follow Christ with full hearts and open hands. In the Gospel, Jesus reminds us that true discipleship demands sacrifice, detachment, and trust in God’s plan. He calls us to put Him above all else—our possessions, our plans, even our own understanding.
Through ABCD, we live out the Gospel by choosing sacrifice over comfort, charity over indifference, and communion over exclusion. Make a difference! Give today! www.isupportABCD.com.
Planned Giving:
In the Letter to Philemon, St. Paul challenges the early Christian community to see each other no longer as possessions or roles, but as brothers and sisters in the Lord. Planned giving is a concrete expression of this same spirit seeing our resources not as ends in themselves, but as tools to build up the Body of Christ.
As we reflect today on what it means to be true disciples, may we also consider how we might use our resources now and in the future to further the mission of Christ. A bequest of part of your estate or for a stated amount of $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, will ensure that the works of the parish will continue after your death.

Stewardship
On our continuing journey to make Christian stewardship our way of life, do we let go of possessions that have mastered us, or are we still mastered by them? Perhaps instead, He is trying to help us see that everything we think we own is really a gift from God. Good stewards know that and strive to use those gifts accountably.
“Every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple.” LUKE 14:33
All of our resources are entrusted to us not only for our own use, but also so that we in Stewardship can help others. Once we renounce the idea that we possess or are entitled to anything, it is much easier to share the many gifts that God has
given us. Then we truly are His Disciples.
