PRAYING FOR / WITH THE DYING ORANDO POR / CON LOS MORIBUNDOS

PRAYING FOR / WITH THE DYING
ORANDO POR / CON LOS MORIBUNDOS

ENGLISH VERSION:

If there is no priest available, you can pray the following 3 steps, knowing God’s love is always available:

1. RECITE THE FOLLOWING SHORT PRAYER WITH THE DYING PERSON IF NECESSARY, IT MAY BE SOFTLY REPEATED TWO OR THREE TIMES:

Whether we live or die, we are the LORD’S

2. WHEN THE MOMENT OF DEATH SEEMS NEAR, PRAY THE FOLLOWING:

Go forth, Christian soul, from this world in the name of
God the almighty Father, who created you,
in the name of Jesus Christ,
Son of the living God, who suffered for you;
in the name of the Holy Spirit, who was poured out upon you,
go forth, faithful Christian.
May you live in peace this day, may your home be with God in Zion, with Mary, the virgin Mother of God, with Joseph,
and all the angels and saints.

3. PRAYER AFTER DEATH: WHEN DEATH HAS OCCURRED, PRAY:

Saints of God, come to his / her aid! Come to meet him /
her, angels of the LORD! Receive his / her soul and present him
/ her to God the Most High.
Let us pray:
All powerful and merciful God,
we comment to you NAME, your servant.
In your mercy and love, blot out the sins he / she has committed through human weakness.
In this world he / she has died: let him /her live with you forever.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
AMEN.

SPANISH VERSION:

Si no hay un sacerdote disponible, puede rezar siguiendo estos tres pasos, sintiendo el amor de dios siempre disponible:

1. PUEDE RECITAR LA SIGUIENTE ORACIÓN CON LA PERSONA MORIBUNDA. SI PARECE CONVENIENTE, SE PUEDE REPETIR SUAVEMENTE DOS O TRES VECES:

Si vivimos, para el Señor vivimos.
Y si morimos, para el Señor morimos.

2. CUANDO PAREZCA CERCANO EL MOMENTO DE LA MUERTE, RECE:

Sal, alma cristiana, de este mundo,
en el nombre de Dios Padre todopoderoso, que te creó;
en el nombre de Jesucristo, Hijo de Dios vivo, que padeció por ti;

AMEN
